Day At A Time (DAT) Procedure

Effective Wednesday February 4, 2015

Beginning Wednesday Employees will be able to Request DATs through the Intranet. Requests will no longer be accepted from the DAT Logbook currently being used in the Administration office.

 

IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THIS TOOL IS ONLY FOR THE REQUEST AND AWARDS OF DATs. No other functions in this tool is being actively used and may not be accurate.

 

Procedure for requesting DATs through the computer.

  • You must add MARS to your tools on Flyingtogether
    • Sign in to Flyingtogether using your United employee number (Example:U123456)
    • On the left side of the screen click on “Edit” above tools section
    • In the middle of the screen click on “add tools”
    • Scroll down to Subsidiary United section and Click on “MARS’

Once completing the above go to your “Tools” on the left side of the screen

  • Click on “MARS” it may ask you to sign back in, remember to use your United employee number
  • On the left hand side click on “DAT View” The current month calendar appears.
    • Select the Month in which the DAT you would like falls.
    • Select the day you would like to take by clicking on the number of the specific day. Note if there are no available DATs for a particular day it will be shaded RED. If there are available DATs for a particular day it will be shaded WHITE.
    • A pop up box appears. In this box you must choose from the dropdown whether you would like to use a DAT or a Personal Holiday. You must then choose whether you would like a Full Day DAT, First Half DAT or Second Half DAT (currently they are only awarding Full Day DATs). You may then enter remarks in the box such as: use a carryover DAT or please exchange this DAT with a DAT I have scheduled for May 1st When finished click on Submit.
    • Over on the right hand side the DAT you have requested will appear in the “My DAT/HOL Request” Box. If the DAT day you selected was available (White) your request will show Pending under Status. If the DAT day you requested was full (Red) your request will show Pending-WL under Status and you will be placed on a waitlist for the day.

 

 

These requests will be updated at least twice daily. If you are awarded the DAT it will appear on the calendar with your hours lined out and the word DAT appears below the hours.
